MISDIAGNOSED WITH DEMENTIA, THIS IS A TRUE STORY OF HOW ONE WOMAN OVERCAME INCREDIBLE HEALTH ADVERSITIES
Survivor of a rough early start in life, Claire Power Murphy has overcome an amazing number of tragedies. At one point, she was misdiagnosed with dementia and given three days to live. Yet another tragedy of many was when her low birth weight, high-risk intensive care baby was improving and then slipped into a condition of cerebral palsy. Following four agonizing months, her daughter returned to normal and improved physically and mentally every year, having earned by age 18 a brown belt in karate and a scholarship in engineering physics.
Murphy’s new book “Preserved to Serve” is a semi-autobiographical tale of triumph over repeated adversity. It is dedicated to the many people who have been improperly diagnosed, told that there is no known cure for their condition, or that they have a limited time to live. "Preserved to Serve" covers a range of topics including: the skullduggery by some in the medical and legal profession, the truth about elder care, ways to decrease medical expenditures, how to improve scholastic performance, and most importantly, the way to attain improved health in body, mind, and spirit.
“Preserved to Serve” traces a life from a sickly childhood through sick husbands and sick children to learning ‘what works’ in triumphing over disease and improving every year of life - beyond cure! “I have struggled up the social ladder from being semi-abandoned in the South Bronx to becoming a teacher, wife, mom, author and ultimately the founder and director of The Self Rejuvenation Center,” Murphy says. “I invite doctors and scientists to see the marvelous healing powers of nature as revealed in my book. I invite them to work with me in bringing to humanity the choice of a natural lifestyle which will enable people to improve each and every year of their lives - especially from infancy."
Specifically, Murphy advocates that an individual's blood chemistry is a measure for health against which all else needs to be measured in establishing what needs to be done to improve health every year. The solutions in “Preserved to Serve” help address some of today’s current news topics.
Murphy offers evidence that disease can be overcome and how to accomplish it. "I wrote this book when my health was improving after being diagnosed with dementia and given three days to live," Murphy adds. "There is a unique opportunity now available for people to improve every year provided they follow directions in the proper use of blood chemistry results."
