It may not be on a yellow submarine, but if you are a fan of The Beatles, Royal Caribbean’s mega-ship, Oasis of the Seas, is gearing up for their Beatles Tribute Cruise 2012. Sailing from Fort Lauderdale’s Port Everglades, the seven-night cruise will hit the high seas on February 2, 2012.
The trip, that will include ports of call in Jamaica, Mexico and Haiti, promises a boatload of Beatles-immersion including concerts by Beatles tribute band Revolution and Tim Piper who will perform his critically acclaimed John Lennon show “Just Imagine.” Other special guests will include Tony Bramwell, a childhood friend of the mop tops who authored “My Life With The Beatles,” two time Grammy Award-winner Laurence Juber who was the lead guitarist for Paul McCartney’s band, Wings, and Mark Hudson, who worked as a producer for Ringo Starr. Radio host Joe Johnson, who created “Beatle Brunch,” will serve as the onboard host and emcee.
The sailing date for the Beatles Tribute Cruise 2012 marks the 48th anniversary of the fab four’s appearance on the Ed Sullivan Show. For further information click on, www.beatlestributecruise.com
